What Order Do I Use My Products
The most asked question I receive daily is.."what
order do I use my products"
Here is a good guideline to go by.
You always want to start off with a dry clean face. You must always start by washing your face to dissolve dirt, oil and grim which can block pores and keep your products from getting in and doing their work. So cleanse your face with your favorite cleansers and follow up with a toner.
If you have any topical prescription products you will use them now on a dry face. Now it's time for your anti-aging products. The easiest way to remember is serums first then creams. Free radical-fighting serums are crucial for daytime wear when your skin needs protection from the sun and pollutions.
So start with your serums then continue on with your eye cream or eye serum then follow it up with a sunscreen and if you still need a moisturizer then allow your sunscreen to dry then follow up with your moisturizer.
Are you using Retinol in your skin care regimen? If you said no, then I ask you why not? Retinol is one of the most powerful anti-aging product you can use for your skin. It is a topical Vitamin A which is a must for your skin care routine.
Make sure you start off with a clean dry face. Retinol will absorb better if your face is dry.
When you apply the Retinol cream more is not better usually a pea size will do for your entire face.
Follow up with a good moisturizer. Retinol can leave you red and chapped so make sure you apply a good moisturizer am/pm.
If you are new to using Retinol start out 3 times a week and work your way up to nightly if you skin can tolerate it.
Make sure you always wear a sunscreen with at least spf30 even if you are just walking from the house to your car you must wear sunscreen, it is very important to keep your skin looking young.
