Follow these tips for brows that wow!

A well-groomed #brow can add definition and open up your eye area and create an overall appearance of balance to the face. Get your #brows wrong and they can wind up looking overplucked and can throw the proportions of your face off or just disappear altogether.

Tip #1:  Shape is everything and once you find the shape best for your face, you have won the battle! The shape of your #eyebrows should flatter your face. Soften a square face by rounding the arch. Alternatively, an angled high arch can bring definition to a rounder face.  A lighter, more manicured eyebrow can give your face the fresh look you’ve been longing for.  For best results, follow the natural shape of your brow.

Tip #2:  To start your brow rehab, a good tweezer is a must. Select a tweezer with a slanted tip, which helps to align perfectly along the arch of your brow.  Although there are many excellent tools available, my favorite brand of tweezers is #Tweezerman. They offer a lifetime guarantee and offer free sharpening. You just have to mail your old tweezers in and about 4-6 weeks you’ll get them back, better than ever. But be careful...#Tweezerman tweezers are very sharp....but they grab even the fine hairs.

Tip #3:  Work in a well-lit area, using a good makeup mirror. Other tools that are helpful to have include an eyebrow scissors, spoolie brush and an eyebrow brush/comb.

Tip #4:  Tweeze eyebrows after your shower, when pores are open. While tweezing will never be “pain free”, doing so when the pores are open can definitely minimize discomfort. When you’re done, apply ice to the brow area.

Tip #5:  If tweezing isn't your thing, look into professional threading or waxing services. Both methods are common and a good alternative to tweezing. For those with super sparce brows, look into permanent eyebrow makeup.

Tip #6:  To make brows look fuller, fill them in with short strokes using an eyebrow pencil. Eyebrow pencils come in all price ranges and shades. I like pencils that have a "spoolie" on the end, which helps with grooming.  Pencils with " universal shades" are the easiest to use, but you can find many eyebrow pencils to match the shade of your natural hair.

Tip #7:  Tame unruly brows! To tame unruly brows or to “set” your brow if you’ve used a powder to fill in you can’t beat the ease and convenience of a brow gel. Often times this is the only product that I’ll use on my eyebrows.  Brow gels come in clear or tinted varieties. My personal favorite is the Blinc Light Blonde Brow Gel, which is excellent and has a convex-shaped brush.

It just takes a little practice and you can have brows that wow!
